The Boston Bruins have signed centre David Krejci to a six-year, $43.5 million extension. The team confirmed the deal on Thursday. With his new deal, Krejci will lead all Bruins with the biggest cap hit at $7.25 million in 2015-16. Krejci, 28, scored 19 goals and added 50 assists in 80 games with the Bruins last season. He added four assists in 12 playoff games. The Czech-born centre is entering the final season of a three-year, $15.75 million contract he signed prior to the 2012-13 season. Krejci was set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season. Krejci was taken in the second round (63rd overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft out of HC Kladno. He had a career high in points in 2008-2009 when he scored 22 goals and added 51 assists.
